Error: Dynamic Road Sign Display error

Featured Replies

Hello, every time i start my car, i have this error , if i clean the errors with obd11 lane assist and traffic sign work .

The errors i have to clean is in A5 camera malfunction , and a databus error value received, on 13 ACC i have databus error value received.

Did anyone have this problem ?

I'm going to try a solution i found in a german site.

All settings for the VZE in the STG 5F, A5, and 17 (in this order) removed/reset with VCDS and error memory in the control units deleted. The error memory remained empty. The display of the error message in the AI was initially retained.

Then disconnect the battery for 10 minutes.

After reconnecting the battery, drive a bit so that the steering angle sensor etc. get values again.

Then all errors in all control units are deleted.

The display: "Error: Traffic sign recognition" was then no longer available.

I was just coming here to tell other owners about this problem!

Mine was in with Skoda today for this issue.  It started a few weeks ago, and manifested as "travel assist currently unavailable", sometimes with error about road signs not being readable.  Very intermittent, and no apparent cause.

Skoda (Startin Group) tell me it's a known issue with the software, and Skoda are working on a fix.  It's logged under TPI  2062172/15, and when a fix is available, they will call the car in for it to be applied.  I saw a similar issue on a DE forum as well, under the same reference but /5 instead of /15.

Might be worth you (and anyone else) with the issue getting your car on Skoda's radar now, so you can get the fix asap.

I get a similar thing, after a minute of driving, but it's a  Warning, not an error for me.

It is related to TSR (traffic sign recognition) and the associated map data.

When TSR is enabled, in Fusion mode, and it's missing specific map data - it will display a warning "Dynamic Road Sign Display Restricted".

TSR continues to function though, the warning will simply stay in the vehicle status screen.

No errors r logged, nor is there any to b cleared as it's just a warning.

Well the German solution did not work for me, I have tried to clean the windshield and the camera lens but it did not work either. My camera was retrofited 2  year ago by me , it has been working flawlessly until two weeks ago.

The error appears when e turn the key  the thing is the camera is working,  because if deleted the errors  and do not turn of the car the camera works.

Have you changed anything recently or updated the maps?

Could you post a full and complete scan of the faults you have so we can see exactly what they are, might help direct us in the right direction.

  • 2 weeks later...

I had an issue with my oil temperature display recently and asked my Skoda dealer to look at it during a scheduled service.  They didn't manage to fix the issue and have sent a report to Skoda about it.  The dealer did update the car's (ECU's?) software in an attempt to address the issue and now I have a TSR error which had never occurred before.  I haven't had the time to go back to the dealer about it but I'm hoping that @Mikeworcs TPI fix arrives sooner rather than later.
