Recalibrate power meter after ECU remap?

Featured Replies

Hi

My 2019 vRS Challenge just came off warranty so I decided to reward myself with an ECU remap: stage 1+, 242 bhp up to 310.

The improvement is noticeable, although of course I'm seeing the traction control light on more than I used to.

One slight niggle is that the power meter on the "Sport Information" display is still topping out at the original 180 kW and not the new 231.

Anyone know if it's possible to recalibrate the thing?

Pretty sure the ECU provides the max power figure... I think you need to go back to your tuner and see if they can sort it.

At least when I retrofitted a VC it was correct immediately.

They will need recalibrating. My 2016 diesel was mapped and showed the correct torque figures through vcds but still showed standard figures on dash !!
they need recalibrating but most mappers don’t have the ability do this afaik
