upgrading speakers to Audison

Featured Replies

Anyone installed Audison 2-way component speakers in their own cars?

Would like to find reviews before they are installed on 16/1/23

Audison is a very good make so I am sure you will notice a big improvement over stock. I fitted Focal 2 way components to the front and rear doors of my Superb (fitted straight in with OEM connectors) and they, together with a JL Audio 4 channel amp and Pioneer Car Play Head Unit, together with acoustic sound deadening have made a noticeable improvement.

Thanks, Smart Pro,

Looking forward to getting it all fitted-previously ( in another world, before children came along)-I spent £2k on Kenwood Amps, Pioneer speakers, etc., and the sound was amazing. I’ve still got the amps and sub, plus the Kenwood top-of-the-range head unit, 10CD player, and all the wiring, and was hoping it would all fit with modern systems. Sadly, I don’t think they will, hence looking at Audison. Cheers

Audison are a great car audio brand. I've not heard any bad speakers. Just make sure that a good amount of sound deadening gets installed especially in the doors! If using a sub, then you can cut the bass to the door speakers and that will limit the potential buzz. I'm just about to embark on a genesis Famous Five powered install in my Rapid Spaceback! 🤠 A metre long!

Thanks, Derek-Mac,

it’s booked in for this Monday-AP1s and AP6.5s - with sound deadening in the doors and diffusers behind the speakers. I’m also using an old-but-great Kenwood P200 amp.  Shame I can’t source AP6.5P speakers, their spec says they will handle more power, and  they go deeper too.

I may have to add a sub at a later date….

I’m now trying to source AP6.5Ps

instead of AP6.5s

They go lower and handle more power. Anyone heard the difference?

Great news- I’ve sourced the AP6.5Ps!

and even better news,  Autosound, Blackpool—who are fitting them-have now ordered them direct from Audison.
Getting excited now….

That amp looks interesting - how powerful is it?

Gordon Taylor (the Amp Doctor) has received it and will let me know in due time I'm sure after a platinum service!! 🤯 I'll probably make a post or two on the install when it's complete.
