Hi all. 
 

In 2021 I had a MIB2 unit retrofitted to my 2015 Octavia with the 8” screen. 

The glovebox unit is a 5Q0035874A which I’ve now successfully managed to get the latest 0480 firmware installed (and it now sees it as a 5Q0035874C unit incidentally). This means the APP button is also working on the screen, which it didn’t when it was running the 02xx firmware. 
 

Because the screen is missing the bottom trim, I’ll have to buy a replacement screen as the trim piece isn’t sold separately. I’m debating whether to upgrade to the 9.2” screen instead - but need to know whether it will work with my glovebox unit (now a ‘hacked’ MIB2.5 unit I guess). 
 

Secondly, as it has the MOST connector - can someone advice which part number virtual cockpit I would require and what’s involved getting it fitted?

Nope, 9.2" screen will NOT work with your unit as it requires MIB2.5 Columbus due to higher resolution.

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll just replace the screen with another 8” as getting the replacement trim is just about impossible.

Undoubtedly, the BCM is probably incompatible known my luck lol.

Your factory installed instruments cluster part number is 5E0 920 941. Virtual cluster part number is one of 5E0 920 790, 5E0 920 790 A
