Rear seats armrest/cup holder won’t click back into place when not in use

Featured Replies

Hi does anyone know why the rear seats armrest /cup holder doesn’t click back into place when pushing it back up after use? I’m guessing the mechanism has been interrupted or something?

I don't think it locks/ clicks into place. It just wedges into the opening?

No it definitely clicks back into place,I’ve had the car four years and definitely clicks not wedges.

Do you mean the black plastic thing for the boot pass- through, or just the arm rest?

You pull the arm rest down and between the two rear seats is a similar plastic looking armrest ( but not an arm rest) which if u pull down you can see into the boot.if u pull that down it comes down with the arm rest.

I’m thinking yes you’re right what you say,the black plastic boot pass is what I’m trying to describe (looks like a hole when you pull it down to see through to the boot),it usually clicks back in to place but now it doesn’t,even though it does go back but not clicking in,the armrest is ok.

I think that is called the 'Ski hatch' - for fitting long items into trunk without folding rear seats. I will check latch mechanism on mine if it stops raining 🤞.
