Small ceiling lights question (Mk 3 Octavia estate)

Featured Replies

Hi

Above the gear stick in the roof panel are these 2 very small lights (these are not the map reading lights that come on when you open the door) which provide a very small yet useful amount of illumination to the gear stick area when driving.

Only today did I notice that there are two similar rear-facing lights which do not seem to work (there's something else in the middle between these 2 lights but I don't know what it is).

My question is do these rear lights (I assuming that's what they are) work for others? Could there but a blown fuse that is preventing these lights from coming on?

Thanks!

Fergal

I don't think there is any lights in that 2nd picture with the 3x holes, I could be wrong but I believe they are for ventilation as normal bulbs get very hot up there (I see you have LED in map lights) but that's AFAIK their purpose.

I think the three holes in the second image are the ultrasonic sensors used for interior monitoring/glass break protection by the alarm :)

hmmm - from a close-up photo I'm now thinking maybe they are ultrasonic sensors for the alarm?
