Rotational Squeaking from front wheels

Featured Replies

Hi the last couple of days I have developed a intermittent squeaking noise from the front wheels when driving slowly that seems to get louder when turning sharp corners and speeds up as i accelerate. Any ideas? was wondering if i could be a trapped stone chipping?

Might be but the most common issue is the pads and caliper, look at the pads first if they have any shims or compound sheet on the rear if not this could be the issue, te next thing to look at is the caliper realeasing the pad from the disc this can be checked by jacking up the front and rotating the wheel if it's a bit sticky then itcould be the caliper piston sticking or more commomon the slide pins which need greasing DO NOT USE COPPER SLIP GREASE use a good quality silcone grease for the slide pins alsocheck the condition of the disc and the rust circle around the edge this needs to be removed also
