Remap TDI OEM+ Stage 1

Featured Replies

So finally had a stage 1 tune OEM + and must say I'm impressed. The tune seems to have changed the car altogether where before it used to feel like running out of gears but now just keeps pulling like a train. Feels well planted and very tourqey.

Went from 183 to 232bhp.

Awesome GTI were just well....awesome ,🤣amazing team I highly recommend you give these guys a shout they were brilliant from start to finish.

Had the oem+ map on my previous superb diesel and a shark map previous to that. Both written by the same guy and  did mega miles with no bother. Torque you say !!

😎🙂gotta love that pull. Certainly put a smile on my face lol.

I had my 245 tsi mapped at Awesome in December

Pulled 244bhp/280lb/ft standard and 310bhp/354lb/ft after the oem+ stage1.

Also had the tcu mapped which is just as impressive, instead of racing for 7th gear in drive mode it holds gears better and is much more dynamic and in sport mode it doesn't hold gears for too long unless you are tonking it (the oem tcu map always held gear for too long even under light throttle I felt)

Another thumbs up for Awesome, they shut at 5.30 and my car was still strapped down to the rollers at 5.55 because the tech wasn't fully happy with a flat spot in the graph.

Is that a 2009 car?  If so, it's a PD 170 TDI.  I had my '08 Golf remapped by Angel Tuning and it subsequently made 210 bhp and 330 lbs-ft on Star Performance's dyno.

I wonder how much the difference is down to the map or just between dyno's.

EDIT:  Ahh no, '09 would be the first of the CR engines.  Even so,  they were rated at 170 PS.   Yours made significantly more than that as standard.

I now have a 272 petrol, mapped to 370 however that pulls the same torque as my old diesel one. 530nm and it settles at over 500nm from 2.5kto 5.5k it’s addictive 😂

I'm still getting used to it and the fuel mpg seems to have improved too until I floor it lol. The 3 modes seem to have changed too although I have it in sport all the time now.

Mine's a TDI manual 6.

Mine was a tdi manual then superb tdi dsg and now tsi petrol dsg 7.
that’s why they’ve kept torque down at 460nm ish because it’s manual. Good work 👍🏻
