Attaching new VRS badge on front grille

Evening all!

 

Just purchased a new front grille for my MY67 Octavia VRS, and need to fit the new VRS badge I have. It's the correct badge for that grille, but I'm wondering how to go about attaching it. 

 

Does anyone know how this is done at the factory? Some say it's glued, some say it's melted on. Truth be told I was going attach it with 2 part epoxy, but not sure if this is going to last. Any ideas anyone?
