Music through Amundsen

Featured Replies

HI. 2017 Yeti, 2 slots for SD cards n Amundsen. I wanted to copy music from CDs to an SD card, and successfully did this using a ripping tool, creating a load of mp3 files. The music played back in the PC from the SD card.

So I then Inserted the SD in slot 2. (NAV data is in Slot 1) Amundsen could at first see the mp3 files (selection button), but said they were unplayable. Then it couldnt see the titles any more, And the files no longer played through the PC, Tried several times with different CDs

Any help much appreciated.

Im getting an Ipad nano so I can also try bluetooth,

I just copy the CDs from my PC as *.WMA files to the SD card, I have 130+ CDs that then show as albums and artist with all the tracks named within within.
The CD albums fan out to swipe between to choose album or track to play, I have map SD card on left and music SD card on the right.

Thanks for this. What app do you use to rip the CDs as wma?

Just the Windows app, as soon as I put a CD in the drawer it automatically rips it to WMA and somehow finds the Artist, Album cover and all Tracks, I then just need to pull the albums I want from the music library onto the SD card.

I used an SD 64 card (size of this card may affect operation) and downloaded music as MP3s no problem.

Some larger SD cards used to give problems.

Thanks for this. I can get as far as putting mp3 files on a card (a 32 GB SDHC) but Amundsen just keeps saying that the files are unplayable, Same happens if I put them on in other formats such as wav and wma

I'm going to try using an ipod via Bluetooth - if those files work, maybe I can then copy them to SD. And maybe I'll try another SD card in case this card is dodgy.

Anyway, thanks both for your answers

.

Have you tried pulling the albums from your PC onto the SD card?

format of sd card, is it fat or ntfs(?),may work trying other formats, my amundsen + was recommended to use fat32!

At last! I reformatted the card, and I have been able to play a few tracks on Amundsen. I have used the free EZ CD audio converter which rips the CD in wma format direct to the SD card.

Thanks everyone for your advice.

Windows Media Player will do that, it'll rip the CD into the music library as soon as inserted in drive and load all artist track and album art into the CD copy.
These are some of the music in my Music Folder, that I have just pulled onto an SD card to play in the Yeti.
