Umbrella

Featured Replies

My new Karoq came with the Skoda umbrella in the door pocket. I thought I would put it in the holder on the front edge of the passenger seat. It doesn't fit! It is about an inch too long. Have I got the umbrella for a different model or am I missing something?

Is there a part number on the umbrella or wrapper?

According to the Horton's website, the under seat umbrella has Part Number 000087600L, and is 25cm long when folded. But confusingly they also say this fits in the front door for the Karoq!

However the umbrella for the front door of a Kodiaq is Part Number 000087600G9B9, and is 26.5 cm long. My MY21 car has a holder under the passenger seat for its umbrella rather than the hole in the edge of the front door, and I'm assuming your facelifted car is the same. If so, then I'd suggest your dealer has supplied the wrong umbrella with your car.

Thank you for your detailed reply. I had already cut off the tag with the part number. I suspect you are correct and it is the Kodiak one. When I tried it in the glovebox it was a neat fit at the back so I will just leave it there.

I picked my Karoq up today and the umbrella was in its compartment under the passenger seat, it’s quite a dinky little thing.

I called in to the Skoda dealer today. They have ordered a new umbrella for me to fit my Karoq. Well done Thomson and Potter.

Result! @hazy2

Personally I think it is too small to bother with so has never been used in anger.

I kept the umbrella from my 55reg Superb company car as it is a large size and still use it. Kept under raised floor in boot next to spare.

I agree, it is quite small but a useful addition nonetheless, I always keep a ‘golf’ sized umbrella in the boot anyhow
