Hi all,

 

thabks for having me here on the forum. This is my first Skoda, ended up with a 2018 VRS 245 DSG estate and loving it so far but just something that’s bothering me and not having much luck with the dealer (long distance so via email).

 

Early on I notices what I’d describe and a fan or buzzing sound in the cabin, this occurs pretty much constantly, even when the engine is off of the car is still turned on (so like Harold a key turn). I just want to know if this is normal or something I need to get looked at? It’s quite off putting to be honest as I can hear it when driving and I’m having to turn the music up just so it doesn’t annoy me. A friend has a slightly older diesel model which doesn’t have the noise but that may be just a difference in models.

 

Any help would be appreciated, even if somebody with the same model as mine fancies checking theirs and seeing if it’s the same

Have you tried turning the a/c and heating off with the off button?

I notice in your video the coolant is at running temp. . So could be the aux coolant pump. . But that also usually stays "humming" after they key is completely out of the ignition so it's making me doubt if it is that.

 

Is the noise 100% comming from under the dash and not from the back of the car?
