Boot Pop Up Kit

Am looking to install a "boot pop open" kit on my mk3 estate as per the below link

However looking at some of the cheap Chinese kits a few people have said that it "will ruin your boot lid as it will twist it" and it will "f**k your boot lock"

I know there have been a few posts about these but cannot see if anyone has actually had any issues with these or I'd it's the usual people who moan for something to do🤣

Anyone installed and had any issues? 🤔
