'My skoda' app, with SE L TSI IV

Featured Replies

Only use I found was finding out if the battery was charged whilst inside the house.

As of most recent car software update, the battery level shows 81%, the connection 'unplugged'. Not much use.

Re-installed the app, no change.

Bin it?

I’ve had a similar experience with my Octavia IV when parking and charging in underground car parks, where there isn’t sufficient reception for the car to report it’s charge status to the app.

I guess, depending on where your charger is located, perhaps you could have a similar issue?

If not and you’re still under warranty I’d definitely recommend checking with the dealer, as that should definitely work!

Within 4m of the car, I doubt reception is the issue.

Like you say, @pe2dave, reception probably isn’t the issue.

I think you should be able to confirm, as with OTA updates, by checking what colour the SOS module in the car is showing:

”…Online vehicle – when your vehicle is running, make sure the light of the SOS module in your overhead console is green. If it is, this means your vehicle is “online” and able to communicate with Škoda servers.” - https://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/software-update

No answer, Skoda app in the bin.

I find the app very useful. For setting charge times to my overnight cheap tariff. Pre-heating the car. Seeing where it is when it is at an off-site airport car park (miles away!) in case it ever got nicked. Gloating about the amazing mpg.
if it isnt working contact the app developers via the app. They were v quick to respond in my experience (when I couldn’t turn the heated seats on-newer cars you can Oct 21 build you can’t). Otherwise get back to the dealer.  VAG have to get our software sorted, and having said that I’m surprised there isn’t a class action against them for the dreadful and dangerous initial releases
