Hi All,

 

Recently alot of warnings popped up on dash (tpms, esp, parking pilot etc). 

 

Once I park the car and turn off the engine the light seem to vanish on each trip.

 

What  I have done so far:

 

1) Changed 12v battery to a new one/ New one now on with errors still coming up

2) Move the steering wheel right and left and the lights go out - then come back on after a short journey

 

 

I have obbeleven and vcds so any coding etc could help?

It looks a lot better, did this clear out your errors on dash/infotainment system?

Also the battery itself does still seem low (but diagnostic sessions will drain this) do you have image or details on what you fitted, and for bonus points, what was fitted before battery swap?

Ideally yes just to speed up the "learning process"

It has a battery monitor, as you can see hanging off the negative terminal top left (Stop/Start)

 

Follow the guide posted, won't take but a few minutes.

Brand can be JCB etc, doesn't matter

Value that is important is "fleece" technology

Amp Hour rating is "70"

Serial number, just add +1 to value of last digit

you have been so helpful. i will post back on here over the next day or so see how it goes

If you have a multimeter, then try to read Voltage after you have driven the car, and it has rested for 2hrs (ideally overnight)

Unlock car, open bonnet and do a read, you would hope to be seeing 12.5V (with a little tolerance of that value)

 

Or just drive the car, and monitor it for a bit to see if it behaves better now.

Your CAN gateway is a right mess... Has it been swapped or replaced at some point?

 

I would be tempted to sort the installation list as it's expecting lots of modules that aren't present.

I did notice that your version of VCDS is way out of date. I would suggest that you update it to the latest version, 23.3.0, and try the scan again.

 

Also have you changed any settings using VCDS?

Your autoscan is full of 'Status: Cannot be reached 0100' errors.

 

This is because your CAN gateway has been coded to say that module is present but it can't communicate with them.

 

You should go through the installation list and remove any that are fitted to your vehicle.

If it's not broken, this would be like throwing money on the floor, and you would still need to code in a new one.

 

So you are best to update your software (if a clone, this could present problems) and do a fresh scan.  You also have other SW tool, so you could scan with that, and see what you have.

You are trying to find out what hardware (control units) your car has installed.

Then you can use either software to code out (remove) the control units that don't answer (as they don't exist)

 

That's the theory!
