Octavia estate mk 3 retractable parcel shelf - will other mks work?

Featured Replies

While trying to close our parcel shelf over a pretty full boot, a bit has snapped off and gotten lost, so it no longer stays closed.

Does anyone know if the retractable parcel shelf from a different mk or even a different skoda model would fit? Some of the other mks are much easier and cheaper to come by second hand!

Thanks

I am not sure if the mk2s are the same? Should be able to find photos/part numbers. If not, I swear my wife's 2015 Leon estate has the same thing, I'll check part numbers if you want?

If you can that would be great, thank you!

My wife's Leon has something similar but it's definitely different and a different mounting as well. I wouldn't be surpised if the mk2 is the same though.

The Mk2 0ne may fit, the main part of the part no is the same. The prefix is different as is the suffix, but the main part 867 871 is the same.

If it looks like this one off my 65 plate Scout make me a sensible offer. I live  near York and my boot is set up as a dog van so it’s garage clutter.

The prefix is the vehicle model, 8E or 3V or such. Next number is body type (hatch/estate etc)

The 8 refers to a body part

67 specifies the diagram number/section of the car

871 is generally a specific type of part (in this case a parcel shelf)

the suffix can be anything from different versions to replacement parts and such.

generally the middle parts will be the same across all vw part numbers but the start and end being different will change the part entirely :) just in case you were interested how the part numbering works

Hi, has anyone found a solution? Does the mk2 (2012) fit the mk3 2015)?

Looking at buying a replacement for a car recently purchased

I'm not sure if this is any help but I kept the tray from my mk2 ( the one that fits behind the rear headrests) in the hope that I would have been able to fit it in my mk 3. Sadly the mk2 part wasn't wide enough so I have a feeling the mk2 load cover would be shorter too.

Cheers
