There is a bit more smoke, particularly from lower in the rev range, but the car is noticeably quicker, and pulls much better above 3000 rom, where it was beginning to go off the boil before.

It hasn't thrown up a fault code.

What it has told me is that if I was going to get more grunt than this, I'd want to do some brake and suspension work (DS2500 pads and a jabba ARB) but the option is there, a custom remap would probably give the same hike in power again, and for the associated cost (c £500 for a removable map, and C£300 for the other work) I'm happy where I am.

For now.

If I had another TDi car, I'd buy another one of these. Piece of P155 to fit and remove too.

Bang for buck, you can't beat it :D Good performance increase, no smoke at all on my car (sailed through MOT :D), piece of cake to fit and remove and a noticeable difference when it is removed. Ran for 20k+ miles on mine with no issues :D

As said above, price is a little high - I bought mine for £30 but it was branded a Dragon box..... :D

Chris

Ive just ordered one for

I will post when I have fitted it with my thoughts

I fitted mine using my hands.

Just an idea.:D

That might be why I am so bad at DIY?

The digital ones give pretty good results-I'd assume the analogues to be the same but with a potential for error codes. Fault readers/resetters can be bought on ebay for £35ish so still cheaper than a digital box.
