Skoda Felicia Speedo problem

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 1998 1.3 Felicia, having some issues with the speedo, odometer is fine but speedo does not always work, if you press the front of the speedo dash it does start to work, any help would be appreciated

Maybe a plug problem, not proper contact or a pin has corrosion of damaged cable.

That's not problem for sure - Felicia has a mechanical speedo.

It's weird that the odometer works, the input is same. Maybe the needle sticks to something.

Some times my english don't help me, for sure it has as i show it.

It happened to me few years back, i had a ''squeaky noise'' in national way only, not in city roads.

The problem was on the base of the square wire, by mistake i had put in the past some silicone oil inside the ''nest'' and in high rpm the wire was trembling.

Another time that white (like Teflon) clip wasn't secured 100% (it's twist and click procedure) and i had a noise that something was ''coordinated'' but when i removed the panel both of these problems solved.

Maybe was one click loose maybe someone by mistake pull a bit the cable from inside the engine bay.

By the way: before i put it back i have added in the past a light coat of glue or even strong silicone between the black cover and the grey factory dashboard because no matter how tight the screws are sometimes is getting loose and you hear crackle noises.
