NSF Creaking

Featured Replies

Hi

My fabia Monte Carlo is creaking while going over speed bumps, had shock and bottom arm replaced and still creaking. Sprayed the hell out of everything with gt85 it's driving me mad. Any help or suggestions are much needed

Check the drop arm links these are know to cause problems, also had creaking from a failing lower arm bush looked ok in housing but when removed the steel insert was completley broken from the rubber surround, could try a spray on these and see if it goes away for now, also had a broken spring right at the top of the mount cracked and this caused a creak, the only other one I have come accross is the plastic sleeve inside the front spring that protects the damper rod this was rubbing the rod and making a funny sound over bumps, you could also spray the anti=roll bar mounts they sometimes dry out

ARB bushes can creak as well.

Thanks for the replying

Had shock and top mount replaced a whole bottom arm because it comes with bushes already in, a drop link all in the space of 3 week and ARB are poly bushes. I've checked engine mounts they seem fine. Just can't think of anything else

Have we checked / sprayed the other side to see if the sound is travelling ?

I've spayed absolutely everything, it's safe to say I won't have to worry about rust anytime soon 🤣. And the other thing is I don't know where I really stand with the garage that have done the work, because they said it was shock and top mount took it back then they said bottom arm that's not cured it, could a drive shaft cause it?
