I was wanting to confirm which gearbox my sons car had so looked in boot

and under spare wheel  but no code sticker. Went to my Scala and no sticker 

either. Checked both handbooks no sticker in there as well . Have they stopped putting

them in now?

The car in question is 2020 Octavia 1.5 ACT Auto 7 speed.

Garage has told him it does not need the gearbox oil changing as it is a sealed for life

unit. Is there anywhere I can find the code without getting under car?

Is it the DSG DQ200?

Yes it is a DQ200 DSG and there is no servicing regime, oil changes for these.

A 1.5 TSI ACT, FWD and no more than 192 PS, (150ps in a Skoda) and no more then 250 Nm. 

 

It is not sealed for life because both oils can be changed in the box and in the MCU.  But there is no need to change them.
