KAROQ 2018 front discs

Featured Replies

MoT in June 2022 reported front discs slightly corroded and worn. When does replacement become necessary?

See what the coming MOT says. If it's a fail for front disc condition or thickness, it's definitely time to replace them. Bet it doesn't say anything different to last year's though.

You might well be right about the next report, car still stops on a sixpence though (if we had such things)

A different MOT tester might not even mention them...

Unnecessary "upselling" of replacement discs and/or pads has been commonplace for many years.

Thanks, I've had a pre-MoT chat with my regular local garage and they will be careful to give me an honest report! Perhaps Skoda should offer some guidance in the Owners Manual which contains dire warnings for every conceivable situation under the sun. Who writes these things? I think I know the answer.

Again reported "slightly worn and corroded" but not condemned, and passed MoT. Thanks for comments.
