Brake Disc Size

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I own a Volkswagen Polo GTI 6r twin charged engine 2013 model. I am aware it's different to mk2 fabia vRS mk 2, but it's shares the same parts? The question is that, which Disc fits 288mm or the 310mm one. Thank you.

288mm probably, but message me with your VIN for confirmation of original fitment if you like.

I'm sorry but what do you mean by VIN

Vehicle identification number. Look through your windscreen just below passenger side wiper.

Textar, Hella, and Mintex on autodoc think that it's 288mm.

However, they could be wrong.

288x25mm front brakes have build code 1ZC or 1LN or 1ZD

310x25mm front brakes have build code 1ZR or 1ZP

I expect the 310x25mm front brakes are reserved for the Polo MK5 with 1.8 petrol 192HP and 2.0 petrol 220HP engines.
