Is there a list of things to look out for when buying a Fabia VRS?

It is coming from a dealer, but I would like a few pointers....

Sorry forgot to say - used 54 plate with 21k on the clock.

Just so that you know, you can get brand new vRS's for just under 11,000 if you know where to look.

I only mention this because a number of potential vRS owners have come on here and posted that they are looking at (used) cars priced 10000-10995 at dealerships.

Dealership prices on used vRS's seem to be very high if you are aware of the large discounts that can be had on new vRS's.

Well I should be getting the VRS next week, went down the used route as I needed a good p/x for my old car.

Can't wait!

Is it possible to get a K+N replacement panel air filter for the VRS?

You can, although most on here tend to prefer the Green filter instead. Do a search and you'll find out why.

I'm just about to take delivery of a new vrs from Simpsons of Colne via one of the cheap new car buying portals on the web and the experience has been painless. Dave the business manager up there has been brilliant. I have a Black Magic vrs with Cruise, CD Changer + Paint & Interior seal with delivery to Bristol by trailer for £12k. If this was bog standard would have been £11,400

Great dealership, Simpsons of Colne. Heard nothing but good things on this site and will probably use them myself for servicing, although it's a good 20-30 miles from me.

Skoda dealership in Preston (Strand Rd) seems to have disappeared at some stage over the last 3 years. Drove past the site couple of times this week and its turned into a used car place.

Ok so I now have my Fabia VRS and I am very impressed! The in-gear acceleration is awesome!

Any idea how i turn off the traffic announcement on the Stereo? It keeps cutting in whilst I am playing CDs! (which is driving me mad!)

Great isnt it? Got mine on Saturday... Nice to see numbers starting with 6 on the MPG meter too! (I have been on the motorway today with cruise set at 70)
