Hi just noticed I have cut outs on both sides of my floor carpet is this normal cause one side looks poorly done 

I've got exactly the same in my '22 VRS. It'd be interesting to know what this is

Funny, but today I vacuumed and noticed them too, when accidentally pushed one of them inside. Below soft pads there is a thread, my guess it is for optional extinguisher mount or smth like that. 

I think they're pre-cuts for models that have amplifiers and such. I think all carpets are the same on all cars then in the factory when the cables are being installed, they remove the carpet bits that need to be removed depending on what extras the car has.
