Volume keeps turning up??
I did, with cotton swabs for the edges, i already reassembled everything and it seems to be working fine, i have to keep checking at night as well when it gets colder. I did turn on the AC with the car running on full cold and it didn't do any ghost touches like it did before. It was a fun day though, was going out for lunch and the car wouldn't start because the battery was low on charge, jumped started the car with my dad's car, the battery charged fine, held charge fine, went to a car shop 30 minutes away, they diagnosed the battery and said the report came out completely fine, so i'm pretty sure it was the infotainment turning on and off during the night and day while the car was parked with the AC and everything. It has to be this because i've noticed that since the power button started acting up, the car wouldn't auto-unlock when i put my hand on the door handle when it was parked for a day. Today was pretty eventful but i hope the problems are over... Kinda wild how it took 5 years for the power button to start going crazy, must have been humidity from the severe winter rains we had

Volume keeps turning up??
My System started acting up on the volume/power sensor as well today when i went to work. Fun ride to work constantly fighting the screen turning itself off and on again the entire trip. When i came back home everything was normal... I might have to disassemble it to clean with isopropyl alcohol soon

MIB3 randomly going in the hidden menu
The exact same thing happens to mine. I just restart the unit by pressing the power button for a while and when it comes back it "normally" fixes it. "normally" because i've had a couple of occasions when it kept doing it after 4 or 5 restarts and it was proper making me angry. Hasn't happened in a long time though.

At what distance do your front parking sensors work?
Both the front and back are extremely sensitive on mine, even a plant leaf is enough to trigger them. Distance is pretty accurate too, the sensors are easily one of the things i like the most about the car.

Creaking noise from roof console
OOOOOh i think i get what you're saying, yeah that's how i removed it as well actually, i thought there was a way to push the metal pins in because mine were kinda stuck to the headliner, some were bent upwards when removed and two of them came off. Thanks for the tips Lukas, you've been incredibly helpful! If the console starts being annoying again i'll definitely do more work on it and on the headliner clips.

Creaking noise from roof console
Nice, yeah those clips are annoying as hell. How do you remove the console btw? When i did i was as careful as i could and two metal springs still came out, one of them now lives by itself somewhere inside the headliner, i was lucky because it doesn't rattle around at all but i'm afraid of removing the console again lol

Creaking noise from roof console
Honestly.... it's still doing it even after i took it out, i did solve it for a while with some felt on the holes where the console springs clasp and by adding a bit of felt as well to the clip which clips the headliner to the metal roof, i've notice quite a bit of creaking comes from there too. After a while it came back, not as much but it still does it. I find it really annoying, i've had Fiats, Renault, Opel and none had these problems. This is by far the most expensive car i've owned and the first i bought brand new from the factory, and both the roof and door panels are a noisy mess.

Wireless Android Auto
Check the network bars when that happens, you might be losing data connection in some areas you drive by. Keeps happening to me and i find it annoying as hell, AA goes down and restarts by itself whenever i lose 5 or 4G connection or lose data completely. Also stupidly laggy when using Waze and Spotify at the same time. Phone is a Xiaomi 10t Pro Annoyingly when i used AA wireless with a VW Polo for a few days when my car was in the shop, everything was smooth and perfect

Daft air vents - Octavia Mk4
This is something that kinda annoys me, they're made to defog the side windows and no air comes out of them regardless of setting and position

How to reset/calibrate air con flaps in MK 4?
Now that i see this thread i was wondering about something, the top side vents next to the A pillars in my car never worked, usually they're for defogging the side front windows in every car but in my car they never let out any air. Is this normal in the Octavia?

Volume keeps turning up??
The issue mine has is when i turn on the AC on hot days after a while it registers interaction with the Home button, just casually driving along and it goes to the menu when you long-press the home button, and it gets stuck like there's a finger permanently on the home button, to the point where the menu button and the volume slider don't work at all and i have to reset the infotainment by long-pressing the power button, then it just magically goes away. Must have something to do with compression and expansion of the plastics or the screen itself when the temperatures fluctuate too fast from the AC.

Irritating vibration noise
I don't see where phillips screws would go into tbh, i work at a VW factory and i've only ever seen screws with torx heads put in the cars, i've i'm not mistaken Skodas should be the same. Check the transparent parking ticket holder, mine started rattling last week for the first time.

Roof console removal
I was posting in that thread too and pretty much forgot about it since, the video in it is mine...😅 i just want to disassemble the whole thing and lube up the parts that are creaking like crazy, i just can't figure out how to remove the damn thing even after looking at the pics provided in that thread.

Roof console removal
Hello my fine fellows, would anyone here be so kind as to teach me how to remove the long front roof console with the sunglasses compartment on the car? I have horrible rattles and squeaks coming from inside it and it has been driving me mad for months now, i've seen a few images but i can't seem to understand how the damn thing is pulled out. The few times i've tried it i was reaching the point where i was afraid to break it.

2024 facelift hopes and dreams
I dunno, it's just what they said on the presentation website, if i remember correctly my old MK2 Fiat Punto also had the fog lights on the main headlight clusters.
