Reversing Icon

Featured Replies

I was driving in my local supermarket and my car came to a sudden stop when I was reversing, I assumed I had hot something but this seemed not to be the case. All that was behind me was a bush. Please could someone confirm if the image shown (top right) is some kind of automatic braking for object detection on reverse and maybe explain how this works as i'm having an issue finding anything elwewhere. It's the picture of the A with a cone?

Yes it's auto breaking if it thinks you are about to hit something. Its done it to me several times and can miss read the object. You can't turn off the rear one as far as I can see in my car.

Actually you can change it in vehicle settings

It’s useful if there is a bollard low down or object that you cannot see. When it’ starts bleeping a single tone means you are 1ft away if you carry on it will do it. The cone In yellow is but it’s not active as you are not moving
