So i noted one of my models wasn't lit up this morning....despite the switches being on.

The power coket checks out fine.

But the adaptor was cool to the touch and it's normally warm.

I've thought about trying the adaptor on something else, but nothing else fits it.

Any ideas how to test it, before i nip down maplin and sink

Take the old one to Maplin with you and get them to check it with a DVM.

Just found a DVM in the drawer here at work.

1.113......as opposed to the official 4.5v.
