my Fabia is coming up to 3 years old, and with Skoda offering the option to purchase an extended warranty, I wanted to know if anyone has had an experience with one ? 
it will cost the best part of £350 for 12 months, and I am unsure if this is worth it? Any views welcome

Mine was coming up as only between £150 & £230 depending on level of cover.

 

The 'All in one' service plan covers 2 years servicing, MOTs, AA roadside assistance & fullest level of warranty extension, for about £840.

At that price the warranty is pitched as being almost a free bonus.

The 2 years servicing needs to include what actually needs doing @ 4 years and 5.

They are not changing spark plugs @ 4 years are they or doing brake fluid @ 5 years.

Are the changing the pollen filter @ 4 years.

Is it just Oil & Filter service and then an Oil & Filter @ Extended Scope?  Is the actual Service & Maintenance & Consumables Extra's?

They are not doing the cam belt.

Better tables than what I found (linked below) but essentially saying the same.

 

'All-in-One' btw. includes spark plugs, pollen filter and air filter each once in the two years, but not 'Maintenance' items like Brake Fluid, Aircon or Cambelt.

Pollen filter might get done at 1 of the 2 services. & the Sparks should if they are going by their Recommendations, Guidelines or Specification.

The Air Filter might not even get looked at if the car is not 6 years old or @ 60,000 miles.

(If not replaced point out the website, and be sure what the T&C,s say.)

 

But if there is a list of what items are done and included in the 'All in' that would be great.

The Services, MOTs, breakdown, plugs and just one of the filters would about cover the 'All in one' cost though, even valuing the breakdown at just £65 pa.,  IF prepared to be tied down to just Retailers (main dealers) doing the work, with not many to choose from in the Highlands. 😄. Then the warranty would be a bonus.

I can maybe point you in the direction of someplace that will actually do servicing and maintenance, brake services etc.

 

I take it that you will not use Hawco with crazy pricing, and Parks really are worth a swerve.

Thats pretty much Skoda main dealer pricing. Better the devil you know. 😄  Locus of Perth & up the A9.

That is enough too much more than Skoda Fixed Pricing for the trumpets doing your car.

 

Just as well going on a wee day out to Skoda Specialist Cars Dundee rather than Skoda Perth also a John Clark dealership.

Just my opinion / experience, knowledge of both workshops.

(An old customer of Thomson & Potter Burrelton before John Clark took over and opened up in Perth.)

SSC Dundee offer only 2 services for my veh. for £480.
