Locking wheel nuts

Featured Replies

Just had to replace the locking wheel nuts after changing the winter wheels over , obviously put on by someone with an air ratchet and when I stood on the spanner it wobbled of rounding off the wiggly indentation, luckily the nut was loose now replaced with a more substantial set but it seems to me that the original set are very poor and glad that I wasn't stuck on a wet dark motorway

@sandal farmIndeed.

Which is why drivers should check if the can get the security bolt and others off with the tools provided when they get a new car, a used car or after services or tyre changes.

Even do away with the security bolt and just fit a normal one and a suitable plastic cover.

Mine didn't come with locking wheel nuts, happy with that

@sussambhave you had the covers off your nuts to check?

Odd that you would not have a locking nut on each wheels as they are standard fir in the UK.

Mine is left hand drive bought in France
