Fitting a mains inverter!

I have a 12v mains inverter that I removed from another vehicle.  I would like to fit it in the footwell of the passenger side.  I need to get two heavy duty cables ( similar to jump lead cables ) from the footwell to the battery.  Does anyone know if there are any blanked holes that would give me easy access to the engine compartment to maybe save me having to drill holes !
