Sound Noise when driving

Featured Replies

Hi.

I first started hearing this in April, thought it was the exhaust.

Tried to feel with hands for a leak, even had a rag at the pipe to hear something. No luck.

Let it be for some time in hope the leak would be bigger and easier to find.

The sound was a bit louder but not the normal exhaustsound, more a normal motorsound but louder.

Down under again and tried to find it, no luck.

Now the sound is pretty loud.

No real difference is rpm, but louder the faster i go and small vibrations now.

If i turn to the left its almost gone.

Spun the front wheels and had the hand on the springs, maybe a little vibration on the left (not much, and could be to the brakes)

Checked the engine mounts upper/lower, but not really sure how to test them. 😃

Any suggestion what/how to check is appreciated.

Must be the Flexible exhaust coupling leaking, it's right under there so I suggest you get it up in the air and get the undertray off to confirm.

Is it still possible to be something exhaust related when it not the same when turning?

I have tried to feel around the flexible part but I feel/hear nothing.

The sound is not that loud at standstill, even when revving.
