Mirror control switch won’t move or fold mirrors but will activate heated mirrors. Mirrors will fold when car locks. Anybody ever come across this issue. 

This has been mentioned before on this forum. However, I had the same issue so removed the switch, took it apart (carefully!) and cleaned with spray contact cleaner. Put back together and all working fine.

How do you take the switch out please?

You use a pry tool to pry out the window controls and mirror switch together.

 

 

You need to carefully pry off the cover (with a trim removal tool, or similar, NOT a screwdriver!) that has the window switches as it’s all one piece. You can’t remove the mirror control switch on its own. There is a small tab at the back and a couple along the length of this plastic piece. There’s a coupe of connectors attached which you can release and bingo, the control switch can be removed.
