Skoda Tech Help Needed - Fabia 3 Cruise Control Retrofit

Featured Replies

Hi all, As the title suggests, Im looking for any skoda techs who may be able to help me - or anybody whos done this before.

I wanted to retrofit cruise control to my 2017 Fabia, Has a speed limiter from factory. I couldve ordered the kit myself from skoda-parts, but with the cost of shipping + coding the dealership worked out cheaper.

Im not going to rant into how awful the dealership is, but essentially with this stalk cruise control worked fine - yet my main beams would not toggle. I could flash them, but pushing the stalk away from the wheel wouldnt lock in so my beams wouldnt toggle off-on.

Its been about 3 months, the skoda dealer havent responded to me in 2 weeks and are just as clueless as to what this is. The stalk we fitted was 6V0054800J. This was found on the skoda fabia brochure so is definitely a confirmed fit.

I suggested to the dealership perhaps the part is broken inside, all it takes is a tiny bit of plastic to snap to break the toggle catch (I'd imagine) but they wont listen.

Anyway, Im hoping for anybody wiser than me and (clearly) them who may be able to advise me on what to do. Is this part actually compatible? Could it just be broken?

Thanks,
