Fabia 1.2 BME exhaust joiner

Featured Replies

At least one of the brackets has rusted through and what with the bloke at the garage doing something to the flexpipe section, it's all come loose and the joiner's knocking and rubbing on that cross member.

Looking on eBay there's one for a 2006-2007 6Y5 1.2 estate, will that be ok on a hatchback?

Which joint? From memory, the front pipe to midsection sleeve clamp is 45mm ID, the mid-to-rear one 38mm.

Message me your VIN if OE part numbers may help.

This is the blighter. Apparently they come off the production line in one piece but to replace the back box you have to cut the pipe, hence the join.

That's front pipe to midsection though, isn't it?  Always a joint there; it's mid and rear sections that come as one.

You could well be right 😁

So is that joiner standard for 1.2 engines?

All engines will have a joiner there, but different (bigger) sizes for the diesels and 2.0 petrol I think.
