transmission holding gears

Featured Replies

I have a skoda scala 2022 with 1.6 mpi engine and 6 speed automatic transmission "i guess 09G" and the transmission is always holding gears as if it was on sports mode , for example the 3rd gear doesn't shift until 2600 rpm even if I am not even touching the accelerator pedal , the transmission has sports mode and when I switch to sports the behavior of the transmission becomes sharper but with slight difference.

Can anyone advice how to solve this issue.

I don't have a warranty , needs a solution or at least a break down of the problem if anyone encountered it before , the car is in mint condition

@bizo420Do you not even get a 2 year manufacturers warranty in Egypt?

I am a bit confused about your '3rd gear not even shifting up until 2,600 rpm even if you you are not touch the accelerator pedal'.

?

How does it get to 2,600 rpm without touching the accelerator pedal, or are you using Cruise Control?

Maybe there are members with cars with the same engine and gearbox as you on the forum, i had no idea that Skoda built cars with this combination now.

I press gently on the accelerator pedal till 2500 rpm and even if i lift it won't change before 2600 ,it is like an ECU issue
