Drivers electric seat problem

Recommended Posts

Superb Mk IV

After my wife had driven the car recently none of the drivers seat functions worked but the passenger seat electrics still worked fine.  I reasoned therefore that it could not be the fuse. As the drivers seat has a memory function I deduced that there must be a microchip in the circuit and that maybe this had got 'scrambled'.  As there is power available to the seats, even when the ignition is off, I pulled the fuse, waited 10 minutes and replaced it thinking that this might 'reboot' the chip.  EUREkA!
