water pump failed today while car was being driven and is now at a 45 degree angle to the front of the block.

Is it a foregone conclusion that the enginge is now scrap or is there any chance of it being saved.

Needs an internal inspection, that or put a water pump and belt on it and turn it over by hand and see if it locks up

 

Mileage? when was pump last changed?

How long was the car driven after the coolant temperature warning came up?

car now scrapped (£341.00) Mrs decided not worth it also due a clutch 320k miles 220 by us cost us a grand 9 years ago and got £341.. From scappers

And triple the money I got when I scrapped my MK1 which I was very pleased with at the time.
