Folder names have disappeared in "my pictures"

Featured Replies

I have the "thumbnails" view for the "my pictures" folder.

But for some reason the folder names have disappeared... I cannot find a setting anywhere to get them back.:o

Any help much appreciated!

Quick bump - getting really frustrated!

I take it you can still see the thumbnails?

If you click on 'View' and 'Choose Details', is Name ticked?

I have this problem on my laptop too. The file names only disappear in thumbnail view. But this only appears to be the case in the My Pictures folder. If I was to open any of the folders within My Pictures, their filenames are shown correctly under the thumbnail. Odd... Are these the same symptoms as yours Tom_vRS

I must admit I haven't bothered trying to fix it yet. Name is ticked under details though. Its probably something really small and stupid. :(

Yep - EXACTLY the same here. It happened after I accidently pressed a combo of keys when cleaning my keyboard :o

Names is checked... (cheers gillywibble)

Any more ideas?

Bumpety bump... :bump:

Hmm not sure. Tried clicking on Tools and Folder Options, then restore defaults?

Ahhh... got it!

Go back into My Pictures and change the view to Details. Now hold down the shift key and change the view back to Thumbnails, keeping the shift key pressed.

Should do the trick! :)
