Just tried your suggestion  and turned off stop/start sadly made no difference , counted 6 secs stationary and had to "dab" the accelerator to move on. 

Worth a try, it seems that the software has been changed somewhere between your 2019 and my 2023 MY version.

I always keep a finger or two on the steering wheel because I can't trust it 100%.

However it's much much more relaxing to have, especially on long straight highways & freeways.
