Good afternoon,

 

I had to brake suddenly whilst my dog was strapped into the rear seat belt on the OSR behind the driver.

I noticed afterwards that the buckle has failed and needs replacing, my car is due it’s MOT soon.

Any idea where I could pick up the part without having to buy the full assembly? I can’t seem to find anything on eBay and I am wondering is there another buckle which fits from a different vehicle?

Do you have the fancy removable seats?  If so take out the offending seat then, from the MOT regs, whatever condition the seatbelts are in they do not count as seatbelts.  Then you can get it sorted at your leisure.  I ran my LR D3 like that for years as I had removed seats and the seatbelts disconnected and stuffed in cubby boxes.  
 

Mind you, as you have an SE like me, that’s not an option.

Thanks for the reply! Sadly not, they’re the standard seats. The bench is easy to remove so I’m told so that could be an option temporarily just so I can get a fresh MOT 

If it’s the same bench seats as I have in my SE then hope you have better luck than I did.  It looks easy on paper but all I managed to do was strain my wrist, no way did my bench seat want to release, plus really difficult to even get a grip.  Good luck with it.   👍
