VW RCD330 Head Unit

Featured Replies

Make & Model: VW RCD330 Head Unit

Price: £185

Description:

RCD330 head unit to fit PQ platform VW Group cars (Mk5 Golf era).  I have been using it without issue in a Mk2 Octavia.

These are an OEM VW part used in China, and as far as I'm aware they are the only way of getting CarPlay etc. using genuine VAG parts on this age of car.  They also have an integral Bluetooth module and microphone.

Photos of the unit working were taken today.  The small cutout in the rear was used to run a rear USB cable - this has been removed and the front USB still works.

Note that some RCD330 models came with Android Auto - I have no idea if this is one of them since I haven't tried it, but on some this can be enabled with a firmware update.

Open to offers.

Listed for a little less here than elsewhere, for the good of all you lovely Freedom folk.  As above, I've used it in a Mk2 Octy, but I believe these also fit Mk2 Fabias and Mk2 Superbs - there are lots of threads on here about fitting these units to various cars, have a look.

While I'm in the Classifieds mood, I also have a VW dealer fit Helix subwoofer kit which I haven't decided whether to keep or not, and a Race Blue PD170 Octy estate which will be for sale shortly.

Condition: Used - good

Shipping: £## - whatever the postage costs, or diesel money to deliver myself depending on location.  I'm on the move a fair bit so feel free to ask.

Collection: Yes - ST14

Not an expert but looks more mk7 Golf as mk5 golf and mk2 Octy must be interchangeable as they are the same platform. Hopefully someone will confirm who is more knowledgeable
