Fuse 23 (interior and rear side lights keeps blowing)

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

Have a skoda fabia 1.6tdi 2011 and the bulb fault comes up, found out fuse 23 under the steering wheel was blown, replaced it but when ignition it sparks out, most of them blew out while putting them in, I disconnected the interior light housing, still no joy.

I do appreciate the wiring shorts can be like finding a needle and haystack and every case is most probably unique. Saying that if any one amongst our group has had this experience solved or someone can point me in the right direction I will be thankful, interior light I can easily do without but rear side lights are safety thing.

Thank you

Najeem

I would check for water in one of the lamp clusters.

A brief look at wiring diagrams suggests that fuse 23 is only interior lighting, inc glovebox and boot light. Where have you seen reference to tail lights being on it?

Changed lights in the rear cluster so checked for water and wiring all seems ok.

Breezy Pete, I found the fuse diagram on this website, photo attached below, plus both side lights have gone out with this fuse.

Sorry mate had to what for the car to come back, that's a good call as I never checked. Yes front side lights are not working, so both front and rear side lights not working.

I have the exact same problem did you find a solution? I found one fuse out a large 5a on the bottom row and that's all I could find blown. Number plate lights don't work either.

I too have this issue. Tail lights and side lights not working. Seems like when I switch the side lights or headlights on the car doesn't recognise that they turned on as the dials don't light up. Even though the headlights work 😕

Any help would be great
