Courtesy wing mirror light

23 spec 1.5 SEL Auto. Tonight in the semi dark, street lights on, I unlocked the car then locked it again. The wing mirrors folded in but the courtesy light in them would not turn off.

This repeated several times. If I get out of the car, shut the door without locking, the lights went off without the mirrors closing of course. I see in settings there is a car arriving and departing setting which I have turned off .

Any suggestions please , is it a setting or a fault.
