Absolutely not true, I have done 40K miles without any EGR on my vehicle (I fitted an emulator/simulator) and the DPF is healthier than ever especially since I had the emissions "fix" rolled back, I'm lucky if I notice one interrupted regen per year.

 

DPF's do not clog due to soot (unless they are unable to regen), its the oil ash that does for them eventually.

@gicu Did you ever solve the issue? I have the exact same issue on my 2018 1.6 TDI Skoda Octavia. Voltage fluctuates up and down on idle which causes idle hunting too.
