Skoda Octaiva VRS driver memory seat issues

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, i have a problem that im trying to figure out but its kicking my azz.

I recently purchased a 2016 (MY17) Skoda Octavia VRS wagon.  Love the car..

But I'm having issues with the memory seats.  for some reason the the presets don't work.  I do know how to use them i also have a golf exactly the same.

I notice that after the scan i should have found a module 36 Seat Mem Drvr but instead if found the 06 front passenger seats?

I do note that there is not presets on the front passenger seat?

When i go into the infotament system and select seats i get the message function not available

Here is my thinking!  some how has the ECU changed to from an 36 to 06 think it has a passenger seat memory function?

how do i fix this can i simply change the long code on the module to Coding: 00  14  00  00  00  00  05  00  01  82  80  80  80  80  00  00  00  00  81  81  00  00  00  D4  00

I did also scan for issues and did find some gateway codes?

Is this related

I really need someone who an translate this for me.

Thank you in advance

Carlo

The issue is the coding pin.

For some reason your module isn’t picking up the additional ground pin that determines what side of the car the module is on.

You need to check the seat wiring to see if there is a damaged pin on the connector with all the small wires going into it.

After that we can look at running basic settings and renenabling the memory.

unless we are missing something and you’ve messed with any of the coding to cause this?

Hi ApertureS  thanks for your post, ok will look at the wiring.

Is it that ground pin that determines if its a 06 or 36 ?  Do you have anymore info on that?

Also when how do i run the basic settings and renenabling the memory?

I havent changed anything yet from a coding perspective just read the codes.

Do you know what connector has the grounding pin?

I think this is the wiring?

Other cars seem to share the lcode of 001000000000000001A481808080000000008181000000F400 so I doubt that's your issue.

If you haven't already, check the adaption channels. I would expect one called "installation position" which should be set to "Memory seat driver side".

Thank you think I found it.
white wire looks damaged. Will pull the seat out over weekend and repair and see how that goes. Hopefully after wire repair module chances automatically to 36.
