Hi all, this is my first post and I’m fairly new to car modifications and am looking for some advice. I’ve recently fitted some wheel spacers and it’s become very apparent that coilovers are my next purchase, unfortunately for me it’s not as simple as searching Octavia 3 coilovers as I’m greeted with different size options… I don’t know what part of the front strut I’m supposed to measure, 

 

do I need 50mm or 55?

 

also require the axle weight? 
 

And do I have a fixed beam or independent rear suspension, 

 
 

it’s a pre-facelift Octavia 3 vrs, 184

 

does anybody have any recommendations or things to look out for specifically? 
 

 

Hello Andrew, welcome to the forum. Only able to answer 1 of your questions - the VRS does have the independent rear suspension.
