Kamiq uses 5 bolt with 100 spacing and centre bore of 57.1mm

Kamiq come with 16, 17, 18 inch wheels in various European countries, tyre sizes are different so outside diameter only varies by few mm.   From memory some with biggest diameter won't quite fit in wheel well (literally just few mm to big, although tyres with worn tread (so few mm smaller) will.

A special space saver skinny tyre is also an alternative, but bear in mind if you have 18 inch wheel with 215/45 R18 tyres they are obscure size so don't be surprised if got to wait few days for a replacement to come from central warehouse if get bad puncture, as unlikely to be one in stock at local centre.

For some years I was a volunteer photographer with the local fire brigade and visited a retained station on the edge of the moors which, at that time, had the only 4x4 appliance in the brigade which had been transferred there from elsewhere.  The "station" itself was basically a large garage and when the machine was moved outside for me to photograph I commented on the narrow clearance between it and the top of the door frame, a matter of millimetres.  The driver then pointed out to me that the apppliance's tyres were half worn and that when new ones were fitted it would be impossible to get it inside, so there would be no problem about getting it out!

Just a follow up on this. Would a wheel from a 2007 Seat Ibiza fit the Kamiq.. The tyre size is 205/45R16..Is the PCD the same ?

The specification of the 16" Kamiq rim is either 6Jx16 ET35 or 6Jx16 ET38, and the specification of the 16" Kamiq tyre is 205/60R16.

The specification of the 16" Seat Ibiza 2007 rim is 6.5Jx16 ET43, and the specification of the 16" Seat Ibiza 2007 tyre is 205/45R16.

As you can see in the chart below, the outside diameter of 205/60R16 is 10.4% bigger than 205/45R16...which is far too big a difference.

Outside diameter of tyre

205/45R16 590.9mm

205/60R16 652.4mm (+10.4%)

If you were stranded at the side of the road and someone offered you their 205/55R16 6.5Jx16 ET42 5/100 57.1 from a Golf MK4...it would get you home.

However, it's better to use the correct tyre size.

As you can see in the chart below, 205/55R16 has a 3.1% smaller outside diameter than the standard Kamiq 205/60R16 tyre size so it's not ideal for the Kamiq.

Outside diameter of tyre

205/55R16 631.9mm (-3.1% smaller outside diameter compared to 205/60R16)

205/60R16 652.4mm

With the correct 205/60R16 tyre size, you could use one of the standard Kamiq rim specifications (eg. 6Jx16 ET35 5/100 57.1 or 6Jx16 ET40 5/100 57.1), or perhaps a non-standard 6.5Jx16 ET42 5/100 57.1 (from Fabia MK1, Octavia MK1, Golf MK4).

Trying to find the ''correct'' wheel for this car is a pain....  The one the dealer's are quoting on is part number 65860101. It's not a full size wheel but it's not classed as a space saver either.  Only want it to stick in the boot as a spare.., Don't trust the tyre sealer stuff that is supplied with the car.

But what does that include?  When I followed this route in 2020, the spare wheel came with jack, etc. and a tyre.   You write of a spare wheel and if that's what you buy, you'll also need a tyre to go with it and a jack too.  Is the dealer offering you just a spare wheel a whoile package.

I think you mean 658601011 rather than 65860101, ie. with nine digits...as shown in the photo and link below.

On the Kamiq, 195/60R16 6Jx16 ET35 5/100 57.1 is a winter tyre and rim specification although Skoda dealers are also supplying this size as a spare wheel for the Kamiq. This is an economy measure so that the same spare wheel can be used for both the Kamiq and the Scala. If Skoda had chosen a 205/60R16 spare wheel for the Kamiq they wouldn't also be able to sell it for the Scala...because the Scala uses smaller outside diameter tyres than the Kamiq.

If a 205/60R16 fits in the spare wheel well it might be better to use that size. Skoda has a habit of supplying undersize spare wheels, most notably the 205/55R16 6.5Jx16 ET46 5/112 57.1 from the Octavia MK3 that they supply as a spare wheel for the Superb MK3...even though 205/55R16 has an outside diameter 4.9% smaller than the standard 215/60R16 tyre size on the Superb MK3.

That's just the wheel (with tyre) No jack, i've already got one.

The Kamiq is on the POLO platform  and therefore the wheels as in a Polo have a pitch of 5/100     Golfs and other VW are 5/112

Must be some been wrecked with the kit in them

Some early Audi TT cars and Golfs are 5 x 100, Most of them i can find are 5x112 which of course won't fit.

Seems to be the case here that not many cars are supplied with spare wheels. They say to cut down on weight,,, Less weight, Less emissions (supposedly).. More like cost cutting so the dealers can screw more money out of us.. The car i had before this was a Mazda CX 3, And that didn't have a spare wheel either, But there was hundreds out there Ebay etc, Spoilt for choice,,, But the Kamiq ''correct'' wheels seem to be thin on the ground. And of course trying to find one that will fit in the wheel well in the boot........

Unless you live in the middle of nowhere a spacesaver is adequate   Ive only had 1 puncture in last 14 years. Son has A Fiesta and got him a mag that was factory for $25 and a s/h tyre.  Put some styrene around boot to lift the floor and its all good

All well and good until you decide to go on that driving trip abroad or even drive 200 miles down south on a Bank Holiday weekend.

Well I dont see the millions and millions of car owners that only have space savers lining up to change them. I dont like them much either but they do the job and you can drive on them ,just slower.  In  AUS  there are places open all weekend in most areas.

Well Eventually got sorted. Bought a (new)  steel 16'' wheel from The - Wheel - Shop online, The wheel has an offset of 35, What size tyre would you recommend on this, 195/R60 16 or 205/R60 16 ?  This wheel will spend it's life in the boot as a spare. thanks..
