MIB upgrade/update

Featured Replies

My Skoda Octavia MKIII-2014 have a MIB without Bluetooth and satelitte navigation.

I'd like to have these features, but I don't know how to proceed correctly.

Masters of infotainment sysstems, let me know please, what I need!

I have to change some hardware?

I have to put something more?

I have to modify something in car software (CANbus or something else)?

In attached picture you can see my MIB.

PS. Somewhere into the menues, apear Bluetooth but if I select this, it say that no phone to connect.

For sure, my MIB have not Bluetooth?

As a news: for few days, when I start my car in the morning, after radio start, a ghost touch the toch screen and change the channels, delete channels and logos... Do you know Who is that ghost?

Thanks in advance!

greeting!
I also have the same model and year of production, identical version MIB1 Bolero, (name in Croatia).
You turn on Bluetooth on a mobile device, it must be visible to others. On your MIB in the menu, mark (turn on) bluetooth. You should see the devices, on the mobile phone and the car and connect them.

As far as I know, there is no help for navigation. There is no option to display navigation on the screen. That MIB is the most basic (without navigation) like my device!
I am also interested in the upgrade and the upgrade process.
If someone can specifically send the procedure and the last upgrade for this MIB 1 Bolero (that's what we call it).

does it gain anything special (it bothers me that there are no icons or LOGOs on the radio stations)

Changing the glovebox unit may give you Bluetooth for music but not for phone calls.

You need to wire a microphone for that.

For satnav, you will also have to wire a GPS antenna as it is not in the unit.

  • 1 month later...

Update for this
