"Written off!   & "Apparently written off!,   well not until assessed.  & the assessor was denied access to the vehicle apparently.

Flooded, maybe even wrecked, beyond economic repair, maybe only good for salvage / dismantling.   But time will tell.

Exactly, but why deny access to the vehicles? The actual damming thing is that Inch cape were forewarned that the site was not suitable by the Environmental Agency who stated that the site was susceptible to being flooded up to a depth of 2 metres, so Derby City Council denied permission at first for the development based on the flood risk, but later allowed it after the design was changed. Clearly, whatever they did to mitigate the flooding and convince the DCC to grant permission didn't work.
