As per the title of the thread.

 

Is there anyway to release the park mode with the engine off?

 

I read something the other day about this but not being an expert on autos, I am just clutching at straws.  It was about a button to press to release the park facility.

 

Any ideas?

It tells you how to open the trim to do that when in P and locked and how to unlock.

 

As to just because you want to and not getting into the guts then no.

 

You can park the car and leave it in N, and restart in N as long as it is not Minus 8 degrees Celcius or lower.
